Summer season makes me happy. I love going swimming, enjoying baseball, and not wearing socks for four months. But if there’s one point about summer that bugs me, it’s … definitely, bugs. Not only are mosquito bites itchy as well as painful, they are also dangerous. Going outside, specifically to a wooded area, without any insect repellent isn’t an option.
Google “make your very own bug repellent” and you will get more recipes than you could shake a stick at. (I’ve never understood that expression, but obviously that does not prevent me from using it.) In many recipes, the key components are alcohol (either rubbing or perhaps the kind you can drink) plus essential oils. Here’s one from Design*Sponge:

The world’s nations are concerned about the potential end of fossil fuels and the effect this would have on their energy infrastructures. Equally of concern is the economy, both the global economy and the economies of the individual nations. There is broad agreement amongst them that these two concerns - green energy and economy - are intertwined. Amongst the nations looking for solutions is Canada.
In 2008 more money was invested in renewable energy, worldwide, than the total investment in nuclear, coal and natural gas electricity. 148 billion US dollars were invested in green energy projects across the world. This investment trend continues today and it stands to reason then that nations who develop green energy will be in the market for this capital. Canada will need to look to its available resources and needs if it wishes to maintain its strong position in the emerging global market, as most developed nations, especially Canada’s neighbors, are working to attract this money for themselves.

The human body has around a quadrillion different organisms living in the gut. This bacteria is beneficial to human beings for many reasons. They help the immune system develop, produce vitamins the host itself can’t produce, they prevent harmful bacteria from growing, control the maturity of the intestines, produce hormones, and perform many other functions. While people can survive without it, balancing intestinal microflora is extremely important in maintaining health and well being.
Taking some medications, having stress, and eating poorly, are some causes of imbalances in gut flora. Also some diseases can cause microfloral imbalance. Imbalance often results in problems with immunity, dealing with allergies, and metabolic functions.

Menopause symptoms - hot flashes, night sweats, irregular menstrual cycles and vaginal dryness can be difficult for many women who experience them and they continue to have them the rest of their lives due to hormone levels dropping.
The most common symptoms of this transition are hot flashes and night sweat but they are not, by far, limited to these. Insomnia is a very difficult problems to deal with during this period of time. Progressive steps toward individualized cancer treatment are being made by the National Cancer Institute (NCI), which is known globally as one of the foremost sources of cancer funding and research. One of NCI’s most recent initiatives is to implement programs that provide personalized cancer therapy by identifying possible gene mutations in the cancer cell itself and linking a patient’s electronic medical records.
Researchers will be able to identify which kind of cancer therapy will effectively treat a certain type of cancer by looking for specific biologically derived indicators in the cancer cells of a patient. The NCI has made a commitment to move from a one-size-fits-all approach to cancer treatment to a combination of cancer therapies that are tailor-made for the specific patient.
