4 Things You Should Not Be Doing When Restricting Calories To Lose Arm Fat
Posted by Katherine Crawford at Aug 14th, 2009 in Nutrition
Getting rid of flabby arms entails being in a negative caloric state. There is no way around this. You have to eat less calories to lose more arm fat.
The good news is that a restriction in calories doesn’t necessarily mean eating less food. If you do this the right way, you can actually eat more volume of food while eating less calories.
Now some women go about restricting calories the bad way. And if you do this, losing arm fat will seem like a nightmare.
So here are 4 things not to do when reducing arm fat and calories:
1. Only increasing activity levels. Some women simply move more while not eating less. I do not recommend this approach. Although you can lose arm fat by simply moving more, your efforts will be far more effective if you actually tweak your diet.
2. Visually estimating how much you’re eating. Often times, women will simply put 50% less on their plate and hope for the best. Why hope for the best when you can secure the best? Simply restricting how much food you eat is very shortsighted, there is a lot more involved here.
3. Weighing everything. Do this and you’ll feel like a robot. Weighing all your food will make you quest to get toned arms seem like a never ending nightmare. Seriously. It can also lead to some serious eating disorders.
4. Abusing energy pills. The key here is moderation and only take them when necessary. If you abuse energy pills to suppress your appetite, they’ll work for a short while. And once their effect wears off, you’ll have an insatiable urge to eat everything under the sun. You can’t simply cancel out your desire to eat and expect no consequences.
Reducing calories to get rid of flabby arms doesn’t have to be hard. If you do it the wrong way, you are much more likely to rebound. And rebounds are not fun because they are so demoralizing. We’ve all been there and done that. So make sure to follow my tips!
