Centerpieces to Make Your Baby Shower a Success

Are you hosting a Baby Shower for some special parent’s-to-be? If so, here are some quick and cute ideas to create baby shower displays for the event:
Diaper Cake The diaper cake is one of the most well-known and easiest baby shower displays you can create for the centerpiece. The diaper cake is created by using a bag of disposable diapers and wrapping them with ribbon into a circle “cake” shape. Making a set of three different size “cakes” with the diapers, you then stack them one on top of each other with the largest on the bottom to the smallest on top. This makes it look like a big layer cake, almost like a wedding cake. Once the layers are put together, add small baby items like diaper ointments, powder, pacifiers, and toys. Then add a “cake topper” like a small teddy bear or rubber ducky on the top. Balloons can be added to give the cake height and then it is placed in the middle of the gift table so guests can enjoy it. The parents take it home with them at the end of the baby shower to enjoy the gifts and the diapers once baby arrives.
Baby Gift Basket What a practical and sweet centerpiece to make for the baby shower. Find a nice sized willow or wicker basket with a sturdy handle and decorate it with ribbons or fabric in baby prints or pastels. If you know the sex of the baby, use either pink or blue, if not then use a pale yellow or green. Once you have it all decorated, simply set it in the middle of the table and place baby gifts inside. As the guests of the baby shower come in, they too can add to the basket to fill it up. The basket will get years of use after the shower ends as it can be used to stack diapers, clothes or toys for the baby’s room.
Noah’s Ark This super cute baby shower centerpiece is suitable for anyone expecting twins or multiples. As you shop for the baby shower, pick up several of the same stuffed animals, baby animal toys or other baby toys and tie them together in bunches of two of more. Then tie each bundle to a helium balloon, which are then placed together in a grouping or box on the table to be used as a centerpiece. The parents can then take them home the tie them to each of the baby cribs or bassinets to decorate the nursery. Each child will have their own special toy to enjoy.
Rubber Ducks- A fishbowl filled with various rubber duckies makes a cute centerpiece for the baby shower. Guests, including any siblings-to-be, can take home a rubber duckie as a favor. You can even plan your shower games or door prizes ahead of time by writing a number on their underside. To make it even cuter, you will want to make sure there is a larger “mommy and daddy” duckie in the bowl for the parents-to-be to take home with them to enjoy. An adorable alternative to the glass fishbowl is to fill a baby bathtub half full with water and let the rubber duckies “swim” in the water.
