Enjoy Fresh, Healthy Juice with Orange Juice Juicers

by Randal Pike

When it comes to making fresh juice, orange juice juicers are the only appliance that gets the job done and guarantees great tasting juice each and every time. They are designed to handle delicate fruit and get the most juice from them so you end up with a delicious and healthy drink.

Orange juice juicers come in different sizes and styles, so there are certain things to look for when shopping for one that meets your needs and budget. The most inexpensive are manual orange juice juicers. They are easy to use and get the job done, but the results depend on your strength since you are manually doing the squeezing. Electric orange juice juicers require less effort and you get great results every time. Prices vary depending on features. One time-saving feature to look for is an automatic pulp ejection so there’s no need to frequently stop the machine to remove the pulp.

Orange juice juicers are made to handle citrus fruits, like oranges, lemons and grapefruits, so they are somewhat different from other juicers. Electric citrus juicers are less costly than other juicers and work much like a manual reamer. They juice a fruit quickly and efficiently.

The basic components to electric orange juice juicers are a motor, a feeder, a bowl or reservoir for catching the juice, a squeezer or reamer for extracting the juice, and a filter grid. When comparing different models, you want one with a high speed motor so there’s enough power to extract the juice from the fruit. A juicer with adjustable pulp levels is important so you can determine how much pulp you want in your juice. This is beneficial because much of a fruit’s health benefits are in its skin and pulp. The machine should also be simple to operate and clean.

Orange juice juicers are known by many names according to their functions. A centrifugal juicer extracts juice by chopping and spinning, while a masticator or extractor mashes the fruit for the highest yield of juice. On the higher priced end are triturating juicers which operate on twin gears and grind up fruits, vegetables, nuts and other raw foods.

Orange juice juicers are a sound investment, especially when you compare how much you spend weekly on supermarket juices. And unlike fresh squeezed juice, supermarket juices only contain a small amount of real fruit juice and a high amount of unhealthy sweeteners and other additives. When it comes to all natural juice with no added sugar or preservatives, fresh squeezed from a juicer is the healthier choice.

Although they are called orange juice juicers, they can be used for other fruits besides oranges. Any fruit, and even vegetables, can be juiced. You can even juice a combination of various fruits and vegetables to create a delicious juice blend full of important vitamins and nutrients. Orange juice, in particular, provides numerous health benefits, among them vitamin C, potassium and fiber. The skin and pulp of fruit hold a lot of these nutrients, so orange juice juicers that retain as much of them as possible are the better choice.

A healthy glass of freshly squeezed fruit juice can be a reality every day with orange juice juicers. The taste of freshly squeezed juice is incomparable and the healthy benefits provided are important for complete health and wellness. It makes sense to enjoy juice direct from the source so you are certain you are drinking pure, all natural goodness.

I don’t have any "long held beliefs," I’ve spent thirty years studying health and nutrition- that’s longer than you’ve been alive. You, on the other hand, have second-hand convictions, which you cling to in the face of every evidence that you’re wrong, and with all the snotty arrogance of a creationist who just *knows* all those scientists are wrong, if only he can convince them of some tiny flaw. You’re wrong, you’re arrogant, and you’re quite obnoxious, which is why people have stopped talking to you. it’s not because anyone has any deeply held religious beliefs in the church of cane sugar, it’s because you’re a child behaving like a class one jackass. Go out and play, and let your mommy do the blogging. Save the ferocious illogic for college.

Diet is an important factor in the cause and cure of many ills. A diet comprising not more than 10 to 20 per cent of fat in calories can offer some measure of protection against heart and blood vessel disease.

Maybe Mr. Gorbachev shouldn’t have torn down that wall:

Bloomberg, 3/30/09 (excerpt): The number of jobless people [in Russia] will probably rise by 2.7 million people in 2009, growing to more than 12 percent of the working population, the World Bank said. The number of poor may climb by 2.75 million, resulting in a 16 percent poverty rate.

The bank estimates about a quarter of the population is vulnerable to poverty. Russia also faces a severe housing shortage, with about 7 percent sharing living space with other households and one in two persons having less than 10 square meters (108 square feet) per capita.

While the government has said it will maintain planned spending levels on priority programs in education, public health and housing this year, Russia needs to implement quicker measures to contain the crisis in the short term. (more at bloomberg.com)

Sounds like Russia in right on track with the US and other countrires in this global crisis, IMHO, but were they spared the housing bubble? Other former Soviets aren’t faring nearly as well as Russia, though, verging on bankruptcy, if not already there. No world citizen is being spared the greed of the oligarchies–it’s just a matter of degree.

Actually feeding both is best. The vet I worked at fed a little canned food and free fed dry through out the day…. Canned food is not like candy. It is high in meat content and is good for them, but they need the dry to clean their teeth. Hope that helps!
