High Cholesterol And Teen Heart Disease

Problems with the heart are diagnosed in older ages whereas the foundation is laid in the younger ages.

From the latest results of the Center of Prevention of Disease, one in five American youths has at least one risk factor associated with development of cardiovascular disease. The report also shows that almost 20% of American teens have any of the following three problems: - High triglycerides. - Low HDL or good cholesterol - High LDL or bad cholesterol

The points mentioned are the clear identifications of cardiovascular problems.

Cholesterol is sticky and it helps in the breaking down of chemicals. It is needed to have interlinking and to show liquid nature of the cell walls. Mother’s milk contains considerable quantity of cholesterol.

The saturated fats and Trans fats are solely responsible for causing a rise in the levels of cholesterol. Cholesterol can be found in all foods containing animal fat in different degrees. Plant products do not have cholesterol in it until it is added during the produce.

We don’t have to make teens the reason for the rise but it’s their food that has made them face this. The modern life has fast food as the basic intake and as kids eat chips and frozen foods they eventually are exposed to more risks. These foods contain high Tran’s fats which is the main reason behind causing a lipid imbalance as per the research.

Altering the way of living by having a healthy and clear diet with a routine of physical activities will help in eliminating this problem.

It’s always good to listen to the one who knows better and not to the one who sells better. The most irritating thing is that people get confused with the advice they get online. Internet has so many websites hosting expert advice from which they make quick money.

Substituting foods will not form the permanent solution for this problem. The main strategy is to have food that has all the nutrients in the correct ratio. The best way is to eliminate bad fats and trans-fats all time. Saturated fats cause high cholesterol but natural and the unprocessed fats will not cause problems if had in minimal amounts.

Those days teens used to go out for playing which burned the unwanted fats whatever they took. But now internet and gaming has made teens sit for a long time which does not allow any physical movements. So the teens grow obese and unhealthy. Once the diet is altered healthily it’s time to exercise.

Even for a short period of time exercising is very much important. Altering the diet is also an important thing.
