Links Between Hypertension And Depression

Someone asked me recently about depression treatment. He purchased the High Blood Pressure Program and jokingly asked if he could be depressed from it.

Many researcher say there is link between two. Hypertension leading to depression as well as depression leading to high blood pressure.

Research shows that people who suffer long term depression are two to three times as likely to also develop hypertension. First, we’ll look at depression as the initial problem.

It is also important to note that many times a person experiencing depression may also be more likely to have poor eating habits, smoke and or drink. Those things can contribute to the high blood pressure. In addition, those suffering from depression tend not to stay on top of the monitoring and/or treatment of high blood pressure.

Interestingly though, is that the study also involved people who did not engage in poor habits, yet they also suffered from hypertension.

It is believed that there may be changes in the hormones in a person who suffers from depression for an extended period of time which could increase blood pressure.

Medications for depression can also lead to a small but long term increase to blood pressure.

Given these factors, there is a link between depression and high blood pressure.

Depression resulting with high blood pressure:

Most often, research shows that the link is primarily due to the high blood pressure medicine. Depression is listed as a common side effect.

When we try to solve the problem there arises another one.

Even though the person was joking who asked about the depression, there is no doubt that anxiety that plays with knowing the hypertensive conditions.

Stressed for long term can result in depression and hypertension as stress is the basis of most causes.

Some things that still provide relief in lowering blood pressure regardless of the cause:

Just after a drink blood pressure can increase for some. Therefore, it’s better to avoid drinking.

Smoking is the major reason for high blood pressure. Therefore, it’s better to stop smoking for the better of your health.

Eating properly can help you with weight control and lowering of blood pressure. So eat on a regular time daily.

Other options are my all natural High Blood Pressure Program and Weight Loss Breeze Program. They both really work well.
