Create meals of excellence. Use the best and leanest cuts of meat. If you see any fat, trim it off. Encourage the cook to use different types of proteins such as beef, rabbit, chicken, pork, venison and seafoods. Meat organs can be enjoyed. Try beef heart or tongue in a meal.
Eliminate yeast from the diet. Do not cook with it or use products that has it in there. Some fermented or pickled foods use yeast so read the labels.
When cooking, remember to use healthy fats and not the saturated versions. For example, forgo the lard, butter, margarine and shortening. Cook modestly with olive, canola, flaxseed, walnut or avocado oils. Using these types of oils are so much healthier for the heart.
