Portion Control After Bariatric Surgery

Weight loss is something that many people are doing and sometimes this means that a surgical procedure is needed. There are two processes for surgery. One is the Roux-en-Y which is another term for the full Gastric Bypass surgery or the Lap-Band procedure that is so widely publicized. In both procedures there comes a time when they must control their portions in order to lose weight.
The individual who has the Roux-en-Y often has the most problems because they may have been used to eating larger portions. They are restricted now to a much smaller amount than they are used to and it can be challenging trying to understand the type of portion they need to do.
The first few weeks to a month are not the problem because the individual will be on liquids first , then pureed food. This gives the pouch time to heal and helps them start getting used to the pouch, how much it holds and so forth. They will not have challenges probably until they start eating solid food.
When they are in the hospital they receive measuring cups and once they get to more solid food they can only eat 4 ounces at each meal. The measuring cups are the exact measure but people have a tendency to over fill the cup because they are not exactly sure how to visualize “enough.”
Many bariatric patients will experience dumping which means they vomit because they have eaten too much and the pouch fills to over flow and the extra has to come out. Because they are unsure of adjusting their portions they can have this happen frequently until they get used to the portions.
Once an individual gets through the first month or so of eating they can go to solid foods. This creates another difficulty because they are to stick within the guidelines of the four ounces which causes a problem again.
We have found a great idea to help people who need to see their portions measured accurately–it is called a Meal Measure. It creates a stronger visual image for people to see the exact portions that they need.
Knowing the right portion to use is important when you want to lose weight or keep your diabetes under control. It makes good sense to make sure that you can do the best for yourself when you are attempting to lose weight and get into a different routine with your eating now.

As evidence I am going to point you to the FBI crime statistics for the USA from 1988 - 2007. These are calculated in rates showing crimes per 100,000 persons. You can inspect them here: On this basis I can expect that in any population of 100,000 persons that there will be a variety of crimes such as murder, rape, larceny, etc. This naturally varies by demographic (rural vs urban, etc), but you can reasonably bet on some crimes of this sort *in that size of population over a 20 year period*. On the basis of the FBI Crime Statistics, in an average US population of 100,000 people, over a 20 year period, there should have been 143 murders and non-negligent manslaughters 713 Rapes etc. Because the rate is calculated per 100,000, you can simply add up the rate column to get the predicted total over a 20 year period. The figures are on the basis of 100% of the US population over a 20 year period. I hope that is a good enough statistical sample for you. Note that a normal size statistical sample is in the hundreds or so, regardless of the population you are looking at. I will assume for the purpose of this discussion that the number of Scientologists in the USA has been 100,000. It is a trivial point to recalculate for any other estimate that you want to use. I an going to submit to you that you that the crime rates among Scientologists are far below the national average, not merely half or something you might reasonably expect, but far less than the national average. There have been a number of accidental deaths that have taken place in association with Scientologists. I am sure that you are more than willing to point these out to me. Even if you want to include these as deliberate murders or manslaughter, which they are not, there is a statistical problem. With an assumed population of 100,000, there should have been 143 (or so) scientology deaths out there. AND THERE ARE NOT, NOT EVEN CLOSE. There are *zero* murders that I know of. I wish to point out that these accidental deaths point to a crime rate 1/50 or less of the national average. They certainly do not total even close to 143. Not even 1/10th of that. If scientologists had the same crime rate as the normal american population, you can bet that critics like yourself would be screaming bloody murder. Heck, you are screaming bloody murder as it is. Buy way of comparison, by using your own standards of justice, every american city should be disbanded as a criminal organization, merely on the basis of police crime alone. And this is the organization you describe as evil and an inherent danger. You wish to destroy on the basis of any departure from 100% squeaky clean perfection. I wish to point out the inherent blindness and crazyness of your position. It is in fact a sign of desperation, trying to find anything to claim as proof of your delusions of evil.

A King sized mattress is 76" x 80".
A California king sized mattress is 72" x 84".
A Queen sized mattress is 60" x 80".
So, the length of a king and queen sized bed are the same, but there is an 18" difference in width.
As far as your duvet cover, it should say the actual size on the package. The king size will probably be too big.
