The Many Faces Of Stress

Due to the fact that stress can be experienced in different ways by different people it is hard to set a its simple definition. In short, stress is a negative condition which affects both our body and mind in a specific way. Still, we must remember that stress may have various causes and people have different resistance to it, so creating an exact definition is almost impossible.

As a stress we consider the increasing level of anxiety and pressure suffered by a given person. Still, we must remember that stress is dangerous only when it exceeds the limits of the victim, many people find that they are able to work much better when exposed to small amounts of stress. In fact stress can be a problem only when a person is affected by it for too long or the level of the stress is too high.

Many of us suffer from stress in work, but the problems start when we start to bring our job problems home. When it happens the whole family suffers and the level of our stress tends to increase. Without enough time to relax and ability to forget about our work when we are with family, we start to suffer from mood swings or even can sink into depression.

Sometimes the main source of the stress is located at our own home. It happens when we don’t have good relationships with family or neighbors or simply have too much to deal with at the same time. When we are affected by such situation for too long time, we are not able to cope with everything and soon the moment comes when one problem leads to another and everything starts to fall into pieces.

We are also our own source of stress. We all have our dreams which we want to come true and which may become our driving force, but when we start worrying that it is impossible to make them real, then the stress appears. Such type of stress is especially dangerous for it can poison our life for many years and cause problems with physical and emotional health.

Everyone has its own resistance to stress, but when it ends, it is the last moment to search for trusted help. Without it it is very hard to deal with the stress, especially when it lasts for a long time. Still, even alone we can learn how to control and get rid of the stress although it is not an easy lesson. The key to success is the ability to recognize when we are very close to our stress limits and we should start searching for help or trying to help ourselves alone.
