What You Must Know to Heal Piles

Hemorrhoids are one of the most painful and uncomfortable conditions that a person can have to deal with on a daily basis. Some of the most common symptoms of hemorrhoids include itching around the rectal area, blood in the stool or bleeding when having a bowel movement and pain but there are things you can do to help.
At the First Sign of Hemorrhoids
At the first sign of hemorrhoids you should do a sitz bath. This is just a simple warm bath that you sit in for about 15 minutes. You do not want to have the water hot as this will only make matter worse and it can cause more pain. The warm water will help to ease the pain and calm the area down. Do not rub the area when drying it, pat at dry only with a clean warm cloth.
Over the Counter Treatments
There are many different kinds of treatments available over the counter in the form of medicated creams. These creams contain pain relievers and anti-inflammatory components. They are extremely effective and work quickly at calming the condition down and allowing it to heal.
Natural Remedy Treatments
Many people have had great success with chamomile tea to heal the area. You simply make the tea as if you are going to drink it and then let it cool completely in the refrigerator. Apply the tea directly to the rectal area. This works well because chamomile is a natural anti inflammatory and it reduces the swelling to allow the area to heal on its own.
Exercise for Healing
Many people do not realize that they can actually help matter by starting to exercise. You can get the best results with a 20 to 30 minute walk at least 3 times a week. What this does is help to increase the blood flow to the area which will promote healing and help to make the condition better. Combine this with some over the counter medications and you will find that you will be hemorrhoid free in no time at all.
Visit Your Doctor
There are occasions when the condition may be too severe to successfully treat yourself and this is when you need to pay a visit to your doctor to ask for advice and take up the offer of any available treatment. It’s possible that your doctor will be able to provide you with a medication in the form of a cream or ointment which is stronger than those available to buy over the counter. However, if none of the above treatments work for you, surgical removal of the haemorrhoids may be your only option. Any treatment you decide to administer to yourself at home should always be discussed first with your doctor to make sure your actions will not make the condition worse.
