Where Do Sports Champions Get All Their Energy?
Posted by Neville Goncalves at Feb 12th, 2009 in Nutrition
What do Layne Beachley, World Surfing Champion, and Chris friend, the Runner-up ISA Amateur World Surfing Champion have in common? Besides a love of their chosen sport, these are just two of the athletes that attribute at least some of their success to the power and energy that can be had from consuming acai berry.
Originally from the Amazon rain forests, the acai berry is now becoming popular all over the world. In Brazil, where it is grown, the acai berry has been enjoying the love and respect of all top-notch athletes. It is one of the best foods to help these athletes do wonders. It can be equally helpful to you too.
The acai berry is a favourite of most sportsmen due to a number of reasons. The first among them is that it acts as a powerful energy enhancer. Everyone who consumes it finds a boost in the energy level.
The acai berry not only speeds up your metabolism to help your body process food more effectively, but it is a natural way to get a caffeine boost to your system without drinking a sugary sports drinks, soda or coffee. It’s a natural way to get the vitamins, minerals and anti-oxidants your body needs to burn calories efficiently.
The acai berry is not meant only for athletes, but for many others too. All people who want a natural boost in their energy level can gain a lot from this wonderful Amazonian fruit.
Some major ingredients of the acai berry include vitamin C, vitamin E and vitamin B1. These can keep you working at a high energy level through the day, and along with the fibre and protein that are a part of the berry as well, you will find that it is much easier for your body to repair the damage that occurs daily.
With the minerals calcium and potassium in the acai berry, you will build stronger bones, while also fighting aging, arthritis and other types of inflammation thanks to the anti-oxidants that are present. Many people find they feel healthier, fresher and much more energetic after just a few doses of acai berry goodness.
No one ever said that life was easy and if you are trying to get by in modern life in Australia, you already know it. There are plenty of stressors out there that were unknown just five or ten years ago, and it feels like you need to deal with them! Take advantage of what so many Australians are learning; the acai berry is a great-tasting way to give your body that extra boost, so don’t miss out on it!

Dietary supplements may not be risk-free under certain circumstances. Be sure to consult your health practitioner before purchasing or taking any supplement if you are pregnant, nursing a baby, or have a chronic medical condition such as, diabetes, hypertension or heart disease. Also, while vitamin and mineral supplements are generally considered safe for children, you may wish to check with your doctor before giving these or any other dietary supplements to your child.
I am going to use my extensive ramen experience here to deduce what most likely occurred to cause the results demonstrated in exhibit A. We see the noodles are on a plate in a configuration that is distinctly different than their default square shape. This indicates that at some point they were probably softened in warm or hot water, then placed on the plate. Most microwave ovens are incapable of "browning" the food cooked within them (there are a few with browning elements but these models are not very common). Unless there is further evidence brought before the court showing that the defendant possesses such a device we will assume he does not have a microwave oven capable of causing browning or burning of the food. This leaves two most likely causes for the charring we see in the photograph. The first is the stove top, with the second device being the conventional oven. The prior is most commonly utilized in preparing ramen noodles, so we will initially assume the stove top was utilized in the attempted preparation of this meal. Here is the scenario. The defendant was hungry, and being either lazy, poor, or both, decided to prepare a quick and easy meal of ramen noodles. Water was placed into a shallow pan with an inside diameter of approximately six to seven inches, into which the ramen noodles were placed. The burner was turned to the on position, somewhere between medium and high (gauging from the extensive charring of the food product it is the opinion of the chief noodle forensics technician that the heat was most likely applied closer to the "High" end of the spectrum). Once the process was started the defendant found the amount of time the food was requiring to prepare was in excess of his MTV-Generation attention span and retired to the den to participate in some form of interactive entertainment using a gaming console of some fashion. Our crime scene investigators discovered evidence of multiple game consoles at the defendant’s residence, any one of which could have been utilized at this point. Having become completely engrossed in the aforementioned activities, the defendant lost track of time and apparently his previously overwhelming hunger. Much time had to have passed in order for the water to completely evaporate. The materials within the noodles would have begun to break down causing the lighter and more volatile organic components to become airborne. These particles would have begun to disburse throughout the air in the home until the saturation was sufficient to either alert the defendant directly through his olfactory system, or indirectly through the fire detection system. We are fairly confident that the fire detection system in his home was disabled due to the lack of a nine-volt battery. Investigators were unable to determine if the battery had been removed prior to the event, or if the battery was removed in response to the excessively unpleasant alarm such a device is designed to emit in the presence of such airborne organic particles at such a high concentration. At this point we are confident that the defendant removed the charred remains of the intended meal from the source of heat and allowed them to cool. One can assume the defendant participated in some activity at this point to satiate his now exacerbated hunger, allowing time for the charred noodle brick to cool. At some point the defendant chose to take photographs of his crime and post them on the Internet. The reason for this is beyond the scope of this investigation, but you can be sure it was to gain some form of "karma" or other arbitrary score in the point-based systems found on many of these so-called "social networking" sites available today. In closing, it is up to you, the ladies and gentlemen of the grand jury, to decide if, upon the preponderance of the evidence, if a crime has been committed by the defendant. Based on your assessment we will either be going forward in the vindication of these poor, harmless ramen noodles, or we will be letting a dangerous, reckless man back out into the world full of helpless ramen noodles. The decision is up to you.
Supplement presentations in Sports Nutrition. I am bored out of my mind, as is every one else in the class, including the prof.
fruit pastilles ftw
Research has identified elements of acai fruit berry with chemo preventive potential that could aid in the promising eradication of cancer.
It is common for people who are interested in organic products (or even sell them) to also be interested in organic research. While this post may not contain scientific citations there is indeed research showing the superior nutritional value of foods produced organically. I have shared some of it at FriendFeed in the past. Even without research, it is logical deduction that it is true.
